Marvels from Miinto.ie..

I love online shopping. You can do it from the comfort of your sofa in your PJ’s at anytime of the day or night. Miinto.ie has become my online shopping go to in the recent months and if you log on yourself you will see exactly why.

A big thing for me and shopping online is being able to navigate my way around the site easily, to have clear direction and options right in front of me and that is exactly what you get with this site. The problem I find with many sites is when you are looking for something specific you can’t refine the search enough, but not with Miinto, It’s easy, quick and simple. The main feature that keeps bringing me back is not only the high quality images of each product but it’s all Irish boutiques, as if we need a better excuse than supporting Irish fashion!

I recently nabbed this cream beauty from a store called Missey in Clonakilty, Cork.

It’s comfortable, machine washable and I love the little button detail on the sleeves. On top of this it has a pleated feature from the waist, hiding a multitude of sins! I can see this dress becoming a staple in my wardrobe, who needs a little black dress when you can have a little ivory dress?

Check out Missey here on the wonderful new Irish website Miinto.ie.

LSAD degree exhibition 2012..

So this post is a little late, but non the less here are a few images of the amazing work of the graduating class of LSAD this year. When I say a few, I really mean a few. The standard of work was incredible and really inspiring. I got there pretty late so I only managed to grab a few quick snaps, check them out:)

I’m an avid supporter of Irish fashion. The talent among Irish designers is second to none and Sinead Doyles A/W 12/13 collection proves just that.

“The dark side of nature is the inspiration behind Sinéad’s AW12/13 Collection ‘Resurgence’. An austere palette of black and grey dominates, but this brutal simplicity is subverted by a luxurious clash of textures, hidden structural detail and bright silk and printed linings.”
The new collection sees structured leathers and body skimming knits, embracing femininity in a new and powerful way.

Sinead’s signature tailoring can be seen in the ready to wear and limited edition pieces which see a beautiful contrast between structure and softness.

The best news of all is that it’s available to you soon from American Honey in South Anne Street, Dublin 2, The Limerick Craft and Design Hub, Sarsfield Street, Limerick City and online at www.style-tonic.com.

Model Portfolio day..

If your an aspiring model or someone who just needs to add to their portfolio this may be for you.

In the coming weeks myself and the very talented Eilish McCormick will be holding a model portfolio day, with the amazing Roy Wong on hair and make-up.

The aim of the portfolio day is that the model gets three looks that may not be reflected in their portfolio. Options include everything from body shots to androgynous styles.
